Sarah Chaya is a seasoned Physician Assistant with a career emphasis on Emergency Medicine. With over a decade of high-quality clinical experience, she worked in the Emergency Department at a large, diverse level 1 trauma center for 7 years prior to joining forces with Dr. Bennett in 2014, crafting and supporting the transition from after-hours office to full-time, full-service medical practice. Sarah Chaya completed her undergraduate studies at Queens College with a 4.0 GPA, and then went on to do an Internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital prior to attending the Touro PA program, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was named class Valedictorian with Honors for Highest Academic Achievement as well as Highest Clinical Achievement. She is also a DOH-certified Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner, responding on-call to perform evidence collection and provide court testimony on behalf of the Queens District Attorney’s Office. An avid hiker, camper, and lover of the outdoors, Sarah Chaya has conquered peaks from the Andes to the Alps, and when not in the office, she can usually be found in some remote corner of the world, collecting more stories to share with her extended family here in the KGH community.
